Material Overview

Our transparent extruded PMMA sheets (XT) are clear and uniform in thickness, giving them a minimalist and crystal-clear appearance, yet they are much lighter and more impact-resistant than traditional glass. Thanks to their sleek shape and minimal thickness variation, they are perfectly suited for laser cutting, resulting in neatly smooth cut edges. XT is often chosen for applications where precise dimensional tolerance is required, such as in displays and housing applications. Extruded material can, unlike the cast variant, be slightly more sensitive to minor micro-cracks during post-processing due to production and internal stress, so it is advisable to use the cast variant for parts where thickness is less critical. 

Line and surface engravings are possible in this material; however, they are less beautiful and even than on cast acrylic.
