Material Overview

PET felt is a sturdy and lightweight material made of polyester fibers compressed into a soft felt structure. When laser cutting, the felt cuts cleanly; the edges feel harder due to melted fibers and become slightly darker than the material's original color. Line engravings almost completely disappear into the material, but you can use them to make the material more flexible for sharp edges or folded structures.
